Use Cases
Now that you have the Hurricane Extension Setup, the next step is bringing in your data from Hurricane.
Scenario 1: Import all deals from Hurricane [On Initial Sign-Up of BLU]
- Click the Pull from Hurricane button in the list view: The button is in the top right of your screen next to the "Actions" button.
- To import many deals, just click the button "Auto Import": This is where its finding all the deals that haven't been imported into BluMortgage
- Then it will confirm how many deals it found, if its correct, then just hit the button "Ready to Import"
Scenario 2: Add File(s) from Hurricane [When a New File is Created]
- Click the Pull from Hurricane button in the list view: The button is in the top right of your screen next to the "Actions" button.
- A pop out window will appear on your screen that will ask for File Numbers.
- Enter your prefixes and file number
- Turn off the "Update Owner" and you can add other file from Hurricane
- Then hit Submit.
Scenario 3: Update an Individual File from Hurricane
If you have an existing file that you are currently working on and you have made changes in Hurricane & wants to reflect in BluMortgage.
- Click the Update from Hurricane button in the detailed view: Make sure you are in the specific file, then the button in the top right of your screen next to the "Actions" button.
- A pop out window will appear on your screen with populated Application ID and file number.
- You can toggle the following 3 options: update Mortgage Stage, update Mortgage Name, and update Owner
- Click on Submit
Mortgage Application Mapping
When a mortgage is pulled from Hurricane into your BluMortgage CRM, a Mortgage will be created (or updated) and all applicants associated with the mortgage application in Hurricane will be created (or updated) as Borrowers, and associated with the Mortgage in your CRM.

Deal Stages
By default, the mortgage stage in the CRM updates according to the data in Hurricane. The default stage mapping and how to change it is shown below.
You can update the data on a deal without updating the stage only when using the button in the Mortgage Detail View, and keeping the Update Mortgage Stage toggle disabled.

How to Update Deal Stage Mapping
If you want to update this stage mapping based on your process, or if you have introduced custom stages in BluMortgage, you can do so by following these instructions:
- Log In: Access your Blue Mortgage CRM account
- Access Marketplace: Click the marketplace icon in the left menu
- Navigate to Installed Extensions
- Find Hurricane Integration: Locate the "Hurricane Integration" extension, and click on "Settings"
- Edit Mapping: Modify mapping to align Hurricane statuses with CRM stages.
