How to Use ART in Zoho CRM
In the Contact module, there is now a related list called "Relationships":
In the Relationship related list there are 3 columns: "Primary Account", "Contacts" and "Accounts".
Primary Account
This reflects the Account that is selected in that Contact's default "Account Name" lookup field. Note: if the "Account Name" lookup field is blank, this column will not show up.
This columns will show all the Contacts that also share the same Primary Account. It also adds the option to define this contact's relationship between with the other contacts (e.g. Boss if it's a company or Sibling if it's a family).
You can also select the "+Add Contact" button to add contacts in Zoho CRM to this Primary Account.
This reflects the relationships that this contact has with other, non-Primary Account contacts. For example, this contact's Realtor or Lawyer.
You can select the "+Add Contact" button to add contacts in Zoho CRM to this column and define the reciprocal relationship.
Accounts
This reflects the relationship that this contact has with other accounts (i.e. not the Primary one). For example, this Contact might be labelled as part of the "Testing Household", but it's also important to note that this Contact is also the CEO of "ABC Company". This solves the 1 Contact, multiple account issue.
You can select the "+Add Household/Company" button to add Accounts in Zoho CRM to this column and define the relationship.
Accounts Module
In Accounts module, there is now a related list called "Hierarchy":
In the Hierarchy related list there are 3 columns: the current account (with their siblings), the child accounts and the parent account. It also includes "breadcrumbs" to show the entire hierarchy of parent accounts.
For all Accounts shown in this widget, you can "click" to refresh the Hierarchy view from a new perspective.
Sibling, Child and Parent Accounts
The first column always shows the Parent Account as defined by the Account in the default "Parent Account" lookup field in Account record. If this lookup field is blank, then you have the opportunity to add a Parent Account from the widget.
In the middle column, the current Account appears with all of their "siblings". A sibling is defined by any Account that has the same Parent Account.
The final column shows all the child accounts. This is defined as accounts that have the current Account as their Parent Account.
Hierarchy of All Accounts
Along the top, a "breadcrumb trail" is left to show you the entire hierarchy of parent accounts for the current record.
It will show the Parent Account, the Parent's Parent Account, etc. until it reaches an Account that doesn't have one.
